Meet Margareta with this and that and visual art on her mind |
About me: I was born in a small city in the County of Vaermland in the middle of Sweden. Applying information into computer software wasn't on the curriculum in those days. We didn’t even have a calculator in Math-class. Access to an electrical typewriter was a luxury. But it isn’t too late to learn new things. Which I periodically have done thru my life. If not taking courses, I have tried to keep up on my own. Due to a job opportunity in 1974 my husband and I immigrated to Canada in 1975, and to USA in 1995. In the beginning, we had planned to stay in Canada for only four years, but we stayed there for 20. Now 35 years has passed since we left Sweden and we are still living in North America. To be exact; in Southern Florida.. As an adult student I have been back to school a couple of times both in Canada and The United States. On this long road I have tried to keep up with new technology. In 1987 we moved from the Province Quebec to English speaking Ontario, which a year later allowed me to go back to school and earn a Canadian High School Diploma. It was at this time I was introduced to how to apply information in WordPerfect 4.0, do spreadsheets and some accounting. I have also developed and improved creative and artistic skills in a College back in Canada, hoping to later be able to start my own company within the graphics industry as a designer. But destiny wanted something else, and due to a transfer of my husband's employment we ended up in South Florida. My immigration status here in USA has not permitted me to get an employment. Instead I have used my time and knowledge in desktop publishing and web-developing to do volunteer work for a couple of non-profitable organizations and helping friends. Time flies! Today my husband is retired, and we are again about to make changes in our life style. Welcome to view my mouzeart.com web-pages. I hope
