Epilogue

June 17th, 2005

When I went outside today, there they were. The two ducks together by the coconut palms. Peace and quiet, grooming themselves and seemed pleased to see me. I talked to them, went back inside to get my camera, and took a few pictures. After all! This is Mr. and Mrs. Smith. While Mr. Smith took a bath, Mrs. Smith savored  some crisp bread I brought for them.
Mrs. Smith, I apologize about the mistake I made thinking you were a male. You really are a beautiful Muscovy-lady.

I hope they are comfortable enough to have a home where they can raise a family here
in the back-yard.
