| Thursday The big day for the surprise:
During the day we were exploring along the Strip. The Guggenheim Hermitage
had an art-exhibition in connection with Venetian Hotel-Resort on the
Strip. It was called the Pursuit of Pleasure and viewing this was a must.
Very famous artists like Pablo Picasso, Peter Paul Rubens,
Velazquez, Henri Rosseau and others were on display. And naturally we paid the Venetian a visit. I had seen it on TV being introduced while it was built, but Helena hadn't. |

The Ve netian is an impressive collage of the wonder-city
Venice in Italy. Venice is, from my own experience the most romantic city
I have ever visited (even if I was there on my own).
I must assume it is the most romantic city in the world. This visit gave me a better understanding what the owners and architects wanted to create here. And I think they have been very successful doing this. The paying of attention to details is exquisite. Yes, I was impressed. |

After walking around inside the complex Helena and I discovered a balcony with an interesting view. Below we had the "Grand Canal" with gondolas and the Rialto Bridge and also the tower from St. Marcus square. Behind it all was the Las Vegas Strip and the view of other great Las Vegas' resort hotels. Las Vegas has become more and more an interesting city for all ages and people's interests |
